About Me
Stan Huddleston - Visual Artist
Hi there and thank you for your interest. I first started drawing and painting as a teenager in the seventies and I've grown increasingly passionate about art ever since. My first formal art training was high school art classes. During that time, my art teacher entered my block-form clay sculpture of a boy tying his shoe in the D.C. area Scholastic Art Awards Competition. My sculpture received the prestigious Gold Key Award.
I believe that art was one of the earliest forms of human communication. Facial expressions are a very powerful form of communication - sometimes even more powerful than written and spoken words. For this reason, expressive portraits are my favorite forms of wall decor to enhance the character of any room or space.
